If you live in Clearlake or the surrounding Lake County area and need trusted Veterinarians and Staff, we are here for you.  Dr. Brie Duff, Dr. Thea Lambert, Dr. Hui Nee Chin, and Dr. Ryan Barnett are licensed CA veterinarians that provide compassionate and high-quality care for cats, dogs, & exotic pets. Your pets’ health and well-being are very important to us, and we take every possible measure to give your animals the care they deserve.

Clearlake Veterinary Clinic is a full service animal hospital and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. Our doctors have years of experience treating serious conditions and offering regular pet wellness care. Beyond first rate pet care, we make our clinic comfortable, kid-friendly, and as stress-free as possible for you and your pet.  We also use as many fear-free techniques as possible to decrease anxiety and fear in our patients to provide a positive experience.

  • Dr.
    Brie Duff

    Dr. Duff is very excited to be the owner of the Clearlake Veterinary Clinic! She returned to Lake County after working in the East Bay in 2014 to 2015. She previously worked in Lake County for 7 years & enjoys the small town lifestyle, clientele, & their pet companions. Dr. Duff grew up in Eugene, Oregon, where she aspired to become a Veterinarian since she was a young girl. She graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 & moved to Lake County shortly thereafter. She is passionate about high quality & compassionate care for her patients & clients. She treats all small companion pets & her main interests are: dentistry, chronic pain management, behavior, & internal medicine.

    Dr. Duff’s family includes her husband Nathan, their Daughter, & their pet children (two dogs & four cats). Her & her husband are passionate about sailing (racing & leisure), camping, & hiking during their free time. And she enjoys trail running with their golden retriever.

    Thea Lambert

    Dr. Thea Lambert: Dr. Lambert is originally from San Jose. She received her B.A. in Biology from Lewis and Clark College, Portland OR in 2009. She graduated with her DVM from UC Davis in 2014 before joining Clearlake Veterinary Clinic. Her special interests include: exotic companion animal medicine, ultrasound/diagnostic imaging, endocrinology and preventative medicine. 

    Dr. Lambert's family includes Nonny, a work in progress Spaniel cross, Daphne, a slightly scarred fluffy kitty, and a tank of fish. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and exploring Lake County with her dog, gardening, wine tasting, and trying new recipes.

    Hui Nee Chin

    Dr. Chin is from Melbourne, Australia. She received her BSc in Marine Biology before pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. She completed her veterinary degree in 2015 from Murdoch University. Dr. Chin practiced on the Big Island of Hawaii for 4 years before joining the Clearlake Veterinary Clinic team.  Dr. Chin is also a certified veterinary medical acupuncturist and is excited to be able to offer alternative therapy options. Her special interests include: surgery, aquatic medicine and acupuncture.

    Dr. Chin’s family includes Dr. Barnett. They have a crazy energetic Australian Koolie together named Bindi. In her free time Dr. Chin enjoys canine agility and hiking. She is also a passionate SCUBA and free diver.

    Ryan Barnett

    Dr. Ryan Barnett received his B.A in geology from the College of Wooster. He took a year off before graduating to work in Sumatra Indonesia as an anti-poacher with the Rhino Protection Units (RPU). He then received a M.Sc. in Ecology from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. His masters thesis was on successfully rehabilitating, releasing and tracking grizzly bears in British Columbia, Canada. In Veterinary School he focused on working dog medicine and worked in Kruger National Park, South Africa training and patrolling with anti-poaching K9 teams/units. One week after completing his Veterinary Degree from Murdoch University he began working in Iraq as a private contractor taking care of deployed K9s.

    Dr Barnett’s family includes Dr. Chin and a very wild but supposedly trained Australian Koolie. In his free time, he enjoys flying, sailing, 4x4ing and volunteering.
